The formation of Mann & Adams, LLC on January 1, 2024, represents the culmination of a series of transitions within the accounting profession in Columbus, Georgia. Albright, Fortenberry & Ninas, LLP, a long-established firm in the region, experienced significant changes beginning in 2018, when two of its partners passed away. Over the subsequent three years, the remaining partners either retired or departed, leaving Virginia Mann as the sole partner. In May 2022, she established a new practice under the name Mann & Company CPA, LLC. Concurrently, Michael Adams acquired the majority ownership of a solo practice, James W. Goodwin, III, P.C. on January 1, 2020, rebranding it as Goodwin & Adams CPAs, P.C. Following the retirement of James W. Goodwin in 2022, Michael Adams assumed full ownership of the firm. For nearly two years, Virginia and Michael operated independently, each continuing their respective legacies, before combining their expertise and practices to establish Mann & Adams, LLC, a firm poised to carry forward their shared commitment to their clients.

Born from the merger of Mann & Company CPA, LLC and Goodwin & Adams CPAs, P.C., our firm has a combined 30+ years experience in the accounting profession.
